ANGLO-AMERICAN IMPERIALISM REJECTS PEACE PLAN FOR UKRAINE

Russians celebrated the defeat of Nazi Germany this week with traditional parades and commemorations across the country. On the front-line it was business as usual, however, with Russian air-raids and missile attacks on strategic targets in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and many other towns and cities throughout the country. Constant artillery exchanges rock the entire 800-mile front-line as the Wagner forces, Russia’s ‘foreign legion’, push on to drive the Ukrainians out of their last remaining foot-hold in the Donbas city of Bakhmut.

Workers’ Notes – May Day

Last week millions of people all around the world took part in May Day parades to celebrate International Workers’ Day. Britain was no exception, with traditional labour movement marches in London and many other towns and cities throughout the country.

Last week’s local elections were bad news for the Tories. The Conservatives lost control of more than 40 councils in the polls, which Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer says has set them "on course for a Labour majority at the next general election".
